Why is divine feminine so powerful?
The sacred, divine feminine energy has always existed and has been present in both men and women. To understand why it is so powerful, it is helpful to look at what it brings and what's missing when it's silenced.
Feminine energy is, in essence, multiple.
It expresses itself differently according to cycles, rhythms, needs and periods. For example, the sacred feminine energy will feel different during the menstrual cycle or at various life stages. Women are, by nature, cyclical. And power is hidden behind the possibility of exploring multiple facets of ourselves. What does feminine energy feel like?
The divine feminine is extremely powerful and can sometimes be felt as pure empathy, devotion, rage, compassion, a connection to the earth, a connection to the ocean, being the ocean, or being the connection. The range of feelings and impressions is immense and vast, but there is one thing: sacred feminine energy is embodied and alive.
This is how it feels: embodied, conscious, wavy, powerful, chaotic, deep, intense, alive, sensual, nurturing. When you are in your sacred feminine energy, you know it. It is like you can finally take the space you were always meant to take, whatever society's expectations on how to be a woman.
Sacred feminine energy does not care about boxes. It is about reclaiming all facets of your being and embodying your true, powerful nature. Once you embody it, you recognise it as its spaciousness. What does it feel like when the feminine energy is silenced?
When sacred feminine energy is silenced, it is in a word: dry. Something is missing. It's not entirely comfortable—and that is normal; we are not evolving at full capacity. What's missing is pleasure, the sensation of life, sensuality, unctuousness, pleasantness, and warmth. This can make things feel too rigid, square and enclosed, which is expected as feminine energy is not linear. It is craving for more, for more pleasurable and for more aliveness.
But we know all about that.
Our ancestors know it well.
We come from centuries that have reshaped us. We come from lines of women who have had to silence the sacred feminine or fight for it. And right now, many of us have only learned to function from a masculine energy, confusing the appearance of feminine energy with its subtle essence.
Sacred feminine energy is not about being sexy, dressing femininely or taking care of yourself. Of course, that can be part of it. It can be a wonderful gateway. Yet a woman can appear the most feminine in the world, still feel robbed of her feminine life force, chaos, sensuality, and power.
